“The Philippines, we underscore, is not the only nation facing this economic situation. COVID-19 has had an adverse economic impact on countries like Singapore, Indonesia, the United States, France, Spain, Mexico,” sabi ni Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque sa isang kalatas.
“We have likewise recalibrated our budget for next year and restarted our Build, Build, Build programs, subject to health and safety protocols, to create jobs,” ani Roque.
Base aniya sa Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), ang pangunahing dahilan ng pagbagsak ng ekonomiya ay matinding epekto ng lockdown sa manufacturing, construction, and transportation, and storage.”
Muling nananawagan aniya ang Pangulo sa Kongreso na madaliin ang pagpasa sa Bayanihan II, o ang Bayanihan to Recover As One, na magsisilbing second-semester offensive laban sa COVID-19; at ang Corporate Recovery and Tax Incentives for Enterprises o CREATE Act upang matulungan ang mga negosyo na makabangon at makapagbigay ng trabaho sa mga mamamayan.
“We assure everyone that the government will continue working round the clock to strengthen our resilience and bring us back to the path of inclusive growth,” dagdag ni Roque. (ROSE NOVENARIO)
