LUMAHOK ang vendor partners ng Globe Telecom sa kanilang volunteering program sa pamamagitan ng back-to-back meal-packing activity sa Rise Against Hunger (RAH) Philippines, ang sangay ng international hunger relief non-profit organization na nakikipagtulungan sa packaging at distribusyon ng pagkain at iba pang life-changing aid sa mga mamamayan sa developing nations.
Umabot sa 50 employee volunteers mula sa Asticom Technology Inc., na naglalaan ng serbisyo sa Globe, ang nag-pack ng 50 kahon ng puno ng 1,800 meal packs na pakikinabangan ng mga biktima ng mga nakaraang bagyo.
“It feels great to be part of an activity where we get to help people in Visayas and Mindanao. In the Ber months, these areas get affected by typhoons, so it feels great to share donations and exert our effort in this activity,” pahayag ni JM Lachica, Asticom Recruitment Officer.
Sa kabilang dako, 36 empleyado mula sa Wuhan Fiberhome Technologies Philippines, Inc., ang nag-pack at namahagi ng pagkain para sa 180 kids sa day care center sa Barangay Fort Bonifacio, isa sa apat na pasilidad sa Taguig sa ilalim ng RAH feeding program. Ang Fiberhome ay partner ng Globe sa pagtatayo ng fiber infrastructure bilang suporta sa rollout ng fixed broadband lines nito.

Ang Globe ay aktibong sumusuporta sa RAH na tumutupad sa pangako nitong tapusin ang pagkagutom sa buong mundo sa 20 taon. Ang RAH ay nagpoprodyus ng healthy food packs para sa mga biktima ng kalamidad at nangangasiwa sa packing activities para mahikayat ang malaking grupo ng volunteers na makibahagi sa relief operations.

Masugid na tagapagtaguyod ng volunteerism ang Globe. Katunayan nakapagsagawa sila kamakailan sa pakikipagtulungan ng Walt Disney Company Philippines, ng three-month nationwide volunteering program na tinaguriang Time Please, sa staggering 22.1 million volunteering hours. Larawan itong nagpapatunay nang pagnanais ng mga Filipino na makatulong sa ibang tao.
Ang Globe ay nakapangako rin sa 10 UN Sustainable Development Goals na makagawa ng positibong pagbabago sa lipunan.
