SA ginanap na The Force Within book launch ni Georcelle Dapat-Sy sa Viva office noong Miyerkoles ay isa si KC Concepcion sa nabanggit niyang nasa listahan niya na madaling turuan.
Aniya, ”KC is an equip dancer, mayroon siyang training, she’s flexible, she can do high kicks, she can turn, she can do contemporary.”
Kaya lang nabanggit ni Teacher Georcelle na nagkaroon ng sakit si KC at inirekomenda niya ang dalaga sa doktor niya.
“I was the one who recommended sa kanya. ‘Yung doctor ko kasi, mayroon siyang holistic approach na hindi niya iti-trigger kung anong masakit sa ’yo,” tsika ng in-house choreographer ng ASAP.
Nagkuwento muna siya kung ano ang nagiging problema niya kaya niya nakilala ang doktorang binabanggit.
“When I went to that doctor, I had a problem with my menstruation, irregular siya.
“I said, ‘What’s wrong with this?’ I went to an OB, and she said, ‘Baka pre-menopausal ka na, tapos wala namang siyang ibinibigay sa akin na options. Parang doon na, end na.
“’Yung make-up artist ko na si Carmi David, inirekomenda niya ako kay Dra. Ruby Magpantay, who specializes in ýPreventive, Anti Aging, and Regenerative Medicine.
“It’s just a blood test, nakita sa blood test, the reason why my menstruation is irregular is because of my hypothyroidism. So kaya pala mahirap mag-build ng muscles. Extra effort for me na mag-build ng muscles,” pagkukuwento ni Teacher Georcelle.
At dahil dito ay inirekomenda na niya sa anak ni Sharon Cuneta na una niyang nakita sa programang The Sharon Cuneta Show sa ABS-CBN noong anim na taong gulang palang ang dalaga.
“When I discovered that, hindi ako naging madamot sa pag-share sa friends ko, and I shared this with KC.”
For the past two years, KC has been having struggling with her weight.
“Sabi ko, Kace, if you keep on doing this, the discipline, and food then there’s something going there in your hormones, better go to my doctor.
“Wala siyang thyroidism pero mayroon siyang adrenal fatigue. Maraming nangyari sa hormones niya, but I’m happy that she’s already started getting back in shape,”sabi pa.
At nabanggit din lang ang TSCS ay inamin ni Georcelle na sa programa ni Shawie siya nagsimula.
“A friend of mine encourage me to audition to ‘Sharon Cuneta’ show, the Adrenalin so that was the turning point. I entered ABS-CBN, so ate Shawie, so the crowd, felt the energy of the studio and I said, ‘this is where I wanna be.’
“Ako ‘yung youngest sa Adrenalin, I’m only 14 years old at ang tawag sa akin ni ate Shawie, Dyesebel kasi ang haba ng buhok ko,” tuluy-tuloy na kuwento ng sikat na choreographer.
Samantala, kaya naglabas ng libro si Teacher Georcelle ay to inspire at i-encourage ang mga mahihilig sumayaw at mga planong mag-aral sumayaw with choreography at ikuwento rin ang mga karanasan nito sa mga taong naturuan niya.
Okay lang na dumami ang tulad niyang choreographer at katunayan ay marami siyang naturuan sa G-Force na sila na ang nagtuturo sa mga baguhan, ”though I still do choreograph naman, but I really need to give them a break.”
“Gusto ko talagang dumami sila. In fact, we have full choreographers sa G-Force,” saad nito.
May pamilya na si Georcelle at ang napangasawa (Angel Sy) niya ay isa ring dancer na miyembro ng Hotlegs at sa programa nga ni Sharon sila nagkakilala.
Kaya hinding-hindi makakalimutan ni Teacher Georcelle si Sharon.
“He (Angel) was my first boyfriend and now my husband and business partner, he manages our businesses. We have three kids, 16, 12 and 7 years old. Magaling sumayaw ‘yung first two, ‘yung 7 wala pa roon ‘yung interest niya masyado,” sabi ni Georcelle.
