HOOQ, Asia’s video-on-demand service,  inilunsad sa Pinas (Kapartner Ang Globe )

globe hooqINILUNSAD na sa Pilipinas ang HOOQ, ang Asia’s video-on-demand service,  sa pakikipagtambalan sa Globe Telecom.

Magkakaloob ang HOOQ, isang start-up joint venture sa pagitan ng Singtel, Sony Pictures Television at Warner Bros. Entertainment, sa mga customer ng Globe Telecom ng unlimited online streaming access at offline viewing option para sa Hollywood at Filipino movie at television content, sa pamamagitan ng anumang device, kabilang ang  computers, smartphones at tablets.

Ang mga Pinoy ay maaaring makapanood ng mahigit sa 10,000 movies at television episodes at TV shows, kabilang ang Hollywood movies na Harry Potter, Spider-Man at Inception, at mga sikat na TV series tulad ng Gossip Girl, Friends at Smallville.

Mapapanood din ang local film at TV content, sa pakikipagtambalan sa top studios ng bansa, tulad ng GMA, Viva Communications, Regal Entertainment at ABS-CBN, gayon din ang local high-grossing films gaya ng Metro Manila, A Secret Affair, Shake Rattle and Roll, Ang Tanging Ina, at classic movies  Dyesebel, Bagets at Bituing Walang Ningning. Ang mga highly-rated TV show tulad ng  My Husband’s Lover, Mulawin, Tayong Dalawa at Mara Clara ay maaari ring mapanood anumang oras at saan man.

 “Our partnership with Globe Telecom, the leader in digital partnerships in the Philippines, helps us bring Philippine customers a premium video service and new form of entertainment that combines the best of Hollywood, Asian and Philippine video content across all devices,” sabi pa ni Bithos, dating Globe Telecom Chief Operating Advisor sa Nielsen report noong 2014, ang panonood ng online video content ay naging libangan na ng mga digital consumer sa Pilipinas, kung saan 85% ang nanonood linggo-linggo, ang pangalawa sa pinakamarami sa rehiyon. Lumitaw rin sa parehong report na 7 sa 10 digital consumers sa bansa ang nanonood ng TV content at movies via online sources tulad ng  video-on-demand, ang second highest penetration ng internet TV sa rehiyon na nasa 71%.

Bilang pagkilala sa kahalagahan ng video-on-demand services na inihahatid sa mga  consumer, ang Globe Telecom ay magkakaloob sa mga customer nito ng kakayahang mag-download ng HOOQ, na nakatakdang maging available sa mga customer sa plan-based service sa halagang P199 kada buwan para sa  access sa libo-libong pelikula. Mas mura ito sa ticket na binibili para sa isang pelikula lamang. Iaalok din ito bilang bundled service sa GoSURF at Tattoo broadband services ng telco. 

Matapos ilunsad sa Pilipinas, ang HOOQ ay ilalatag sa buong Asia.
