BAGSAK sa ospital ang lasing na Santa at kanyang pie-eyed helper matapos tumilapon mula sa kanilang sleigh.
Ang 51-anyos na Father Christmas at 31-anyos ni-yang babaeng helper ay umaawit ng Xmas carols at kumakaway sa mga tao habang mabilis na umaarangkada sa kalsada ng Ustrzykach Dolnych, Poland, nang businahan sila ng isang dumaan na kotse.
Bunsod nito, natakot ang kabayo na humihila sa kanilang sleigh at nagwala kaya kapwa tumilapon ang dalawa patungo sa kalsada.
Ayon kay Zdzislaw Molodynski, nakunan ng camera ang insidente: “It was quite extraordinary.
“They were supposed to have been an attraction at the local market and lots of people were taking their children there to go and see them.
“But instead they saw these two, who were clearly under the influence, beha-ving like they had just come out of a nightclub or something.
“Then a car started beeping them which threw the horse into a panic.
“It reared up and sent them smashing into the wall on the corner of the street.
“It was a mixture of ‘Ho, ho, ho’ and ‘No, no, no’,” aniya.
Sinabi naman ni Magda Dudzinska na dinala sa labas ang 7-anyos niyang anak upang makita si Santa: “I’m not happy they had a crash or are in hospital, but I’m delighted we didn’t get to meet them.
“Who knows what they would have done in that state. They were clearly in no state to deal with children.”
Inihayag naman ni Police spokesman Dorota Glazowska: “Technically, they were drunk while in charge of a vehicle on the road.
“We are looking at pressing charges.”
