Customs modernization isusulong sa Kamara
POSITIBO ang resulta matapos ang ikatlong araw ng 15th meeting ng ASEAN Customs Procedures and Trade Facilitation and Working Group na dinaluhan ng mga delegado ng 10-member Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN), na ginanap sa Traders Hotel, kamakailan.
Tinalakay ang Strategic Plans of Customs Development (SPCD) para sa ASEAN Integrated Economy sa 2015, na pinangunahan ng PH Bureau of Customs.
Umaasa si Customs Commissioner Ruffy Biazon, na makakamit ang antas ng modernization ng mga ASEAN counterparts, dahil na rin sa hangarin ng House Committee on Ways and Means, sa pamumuno ni 2nd District, Marikina City Representative Romero “Miro” Quimbo, na binibigyang prioridad ang Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA).
“The passage of the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act would not only boost the on-going Customs reforms, but more importantly, it will get us on board the on-going changes in the global market and customs trends,” pagdidiin ni Biazon. (leonard basilio)
