Vince Tanada lumipad ng France para sa Cannes Film Festival

HINDI lang masasabing isang matapang na abogado si Atty. Vince Tañada. Napaka-tapang nito sa pagharap sa mga laban ng mismong buhay niya.

Kaya hanggang sa pagiging producer at direktor niya eh, bitbit ni Vince ang katangiang ito.

Palaban ang magkasunod na pelikulang ibinahagi niya sa mga manonood. Ang  Katips at Ako si Ninoy. 

Hindi siya nakaiwas sa bashers sa walang puknat na mud slinging sa kanya. Lalo na sa mga opinyon at pinaniniwalang politikal sa buhay niya.

At the back of his mind and inside his heart, malalim ang paniniwala ni Vince, na everything will just make sense.

Ngayon, kasama ang mga artist niyang sina Johnrey Rivas at OJ Arci, palipad sila ng Paris, France para dumalo sa prestihiyosong Cannes Film Festival.

Naalala ko ‘yung unang lipad ni Direk Lino Brocka sa France, with Phillip Salvador and Carmi Martin. Hindi ko sinasabing makakatulad ni Brocka si Tañada. Pero sa mga pakikipaglaban nila, malamang ang lamang.

Ito ang sabi ni Vince sa paglalakbay nila: “It’s an honor to represent my country Philippines in the most prestigious International Festival – Cannes Film Festival in France. 

“We will also screen in the Marché Du Film exhibition only Out of Competition Category our film AKO SI NINOY. Imagine how non believers and bigots lambasted this film, only to be screened in an A-List International Film Fest. 

“Truth will indeed prevail in the end. Works are underway for my Palanca Winning Piece ANG BANGKAY (English Title The Embalmer) to premiere in Cannes as well. This is a clear validation of our hardwork and artistry, even if you cannot please everyone, there’s still someone (the most significant and most credible) who will believe in your craft. 

“This post, though we are extremely proud, is a reminder that we have to remain humble because God paved the way for this and we are nothing and nobody if not for the blessings and goodness of the Lord. 

“As we travel to France today, I carry with me all the thoughts, prayers and admiration of supporters since I started PSF theater in 2002. Thank you for not giving up on me and despite all the bashing, trolling, threats and even physical assault, dreams still come true especially if you side with truth. Vindicated. Thank you all and God Bless.”

Minsan, nag-emote ng mga hugot niya si Vince. Sa mga taong natulungan niya but in the end, siya pa ang ginawang masama.

Paano ka namang hindi magre-react kung hundreds of thousands na pala ang kusa niyang naibigay, para rin sumalba ng buhay sa ilang pangangailangan. Kaya siguro siya pinagpapala ngayon.
