KILIG OVERLOAD sa UP School of Urban and Regional Planning noong February 14 dahil nagtungo roon ang aktor at Quezon City Councilor na si Alfred Vargas para bumisita at the same time magbigay ng red roses sa mga kababaihang naroon at nakasalamuha niya. Nagtungo rin doon ang aktor sa nasabing departamento para sa kanyang Doctorate degree on Urban Planning.
Kitang-kita ang kilig at tuwa sa mga nabigyan niya ng rosas bilang Valentine’s day din noon. Nag-enroll si Alfred noong araw na iyon at pagkaraan ay naglibot sa campus para mamigay ng red roses sa mga kababaihan na kilabibilangan ng mga kapwa estudyante, ilang guro, at staff din ng UP.
Sa Instagram reel post ni Konsi Alfred may caption iyong, “Met so many lovely people in UP Diliman during enrollment… So I thought of giving them roses for V-day Happy V-day, everyone!”
“BTW, I got my form 5 na! Thank you, UP!”
Giit ng konsehal, hindi lang sa Araw ng mga Puso ipinakikita ang ating pagmamahal sa mga babae sa buhay natin. Araw-araw ay dapat nating ipakita ang ating pagmamahal sa ating mga nanay, asawa, kapatid, kaklase, minamahal.
Kaya talagang ‘di naitago ang kilig at pagkagulat ng maraming nabigyan ng roses ni Alfred. At siyempre hindi rin pinalampas ng mga naabutan ng bulaklak ang magpa-picture o magpa-selfie sa guwapong aktor.
Nasa UP si Konsi Alfred para sa kanyang PhD sa Urban Planning. Natapos na kasi nito ang kanyang Master’s Degree sa University of the Philippines National College of Public Administration and Governance.
Sabi nga ni Alfred, “After finishing my masters in public ad in UPNCPAG in 2021, I took the entrance exam of the college last year naman (2022). I passed it, and I am now pursuing my PhD in UPSURP (UP School of Urban and Regional Planning)to become an urban planner.
“It’s a long journey which will probably take me 4-5 years coz I’ll first have to get my urban planning diploma for the first two years, then masters for urban planning for another year, then my PhD for another 1-2 years, depending on my schedule.
“I love being a student again. I get a lot of insights and wisdom from my profs and classmates which I can apply as public servant. Learning is an everyday process. It should never end. I think I’ll continue to study, study, and study until I’m a senior citizen!
“I finished AB Management Economics in Ateneo de Manila as my undergrad. Then finished my MPA in UPNCPAG. And I will do everything I can to get that PhD from UPSURP in the next few years.
“I feel so lucky to have had the chance to study in two of the best universities in our country.” (Maricris Valdez)
