PERFECT ang pagkakakuha ng Viva Films kina Rose Van Ginkel at Marco Gallo para magbida sa latest offering nila, ang Kitty K7 na ang istorya ay ukol sa buhay ng isang camgirl at photographer na naka-one night stand nito.

Isa kami sa nakapanood ng private screening nito na bagamat ukol sa isang cam girl ang istorya ay hindi sa mga intimate o sexy scenes lang nag-focus kundi sa kung ano ang buhay-buhay ng isang sex worker. Pero kung ang hanap ninyo ay matitinding hubaran at lampungan, hindi pahuhuli ang pelikulang ito.

May eksena pa nga si Rose Van na nagsarili gamit ang kutsara. Kung paano niya iyon ginawa at kung naiintriga kayo, dapat n’yong panoorin sa Vivamax.

Sinabi naman nina Direk Dan Villegas at Antoinette Jadaone ng Project 8 Projects isinapelikula nila ang buhay ng isang cam girl para makatulong sila na maging legal ang pagiging sex worker. 

At tulad nga ng nasabi namin, perfect ang dalawa sa ibinigay sa kanilang role lalo na si Rose Van na hindi lang ang hubad na katawan ang ipinakita sa pelikula bilang isang sex worker, kundi pati na ang kanyang pagiging aktres. Mahusay si Rose Van na ikinagulat namin dahil aktres na aktres ang dating niya.

Bukod kina Rose Van at Marco mahuhusay din ang lahat ng miyembro ng cast at sa mga ipinakitang intimate scenes ‘di mo aakalaing isang babae ang nagdirehe nito si  Joy Aquino at sa panulat ni Pamela Miras. 

Dumalo rin sa screening ang tunay na camgirl at sex worker na si Salome Salvi na siyang naging inspirasyon sa kuwento ng Kitty K7.

In fairness, intelehente ang dating ni Salome na overwhelmed at natuwa sa pelikula dahil maayos na naipakita ng direktor ang kanyang kuwento.

Aniya, ‘di niya akalain na mailalahad lahat ang mga naikuwento niya kay Direk Joy.

“I’m so overwhelmed! It’s really important that my work and ‘yung humanity ng sex workers was represented fairly,” anito na nasabi sa amin ng isang kasamahang editor na sikat na sikat si Salome sa Twitter.

“And I feel, like, parang ‘yun ang pinaka-na-communicate ng film sa akin na, ‘Yes, we are human.’

“We are putting out a commodity that is very wanted, like everyone wants sex, everyone wants to see sex. Everyone wants to make porn.

“Pero a lot of people really forget that it comes from a real person with emotions,” sabi pa ni Salome.

“I thought that it was important din that it has shown the dangers that we face and ‘yung illegal danger niya and the harassment that we face from our followers, fans, and the people that we meet on the street.

“And how badly stigmatized it is, that the stigma actually rips families like what it did for me.

“I was actually really surprised how much the details of my story made it to the film, especially the scene where I started exploring my sexuality with the photographer as well.

“And the way that parang naghiwalay kami ng nanay ko. Ganoon na ganoon. I don’t know how much of me I shared with Pam, but it was, like, yeah it is that painful.

“It’s so important to me that this film is out there and is telling everyone na mayroon kaming humanity that people often forget because they always feel that there’s a separation between the product that we put out versus us the workers,” pahayag pa ni Salome.

At bilang sex worker at miyembro ng Philippine Sex Workers Collective, isinusulong nila ngayon ang decriminalization ng kanilang trabaho.

“It’s really important to me that ‘yun ang naging goal ng film, to push for the decriminalization of sex work that we’re pushing for talaga, especially the organization I’m in.

“I belong to the Philippine Sex Workers Collective and activist groups formed by sex workers. ‘Yun talaga ang goal, decriminalization,” giit pa ni Salome.
