Face shield pinatanggal ng Palasyo

INAPROBAHAN ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang rekomendasyon ng Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Emerging Infectious Diseases na luwagan ang  patakaran sa paggamit ng face shield.

Mandatory na lamang ang pagsusuot ng face shield sa mga lugar na nasa ilalim ng Alert Level at granular lockdowns.

Habang sa mga lugar na nasa ilalim ng Alert Level 3, 2, at 1 ay boluntaryo na lamang.

Nakasaad ang bagong protocols sa memorandum na nilagdaan ni Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea na “effective immediately.”

“The above protocols are without prejudice to the continuing mandatory use of face shields in medical and quarantine facilities, and the required use thereof by healthcare workers in healthcare settings,” nakasaad sa memorandum.

Nauna nang inalis ng ilang lokal na pamahalaan ang mandatory face shield policy gaya ng Maynila, Muntinlupa, Iloilo City, at Catbalogan. (ROSE NOVENARIO)
