NAG-TWEET si Liza Soberano ng pagkaawa niya sa mga mahihirap na apektado na naman ngayon ng ipinatutupad ng gobyerno na General Community Quarantine sa Metro Manila at mga kalapit-probinsiya nito.
Maraming Filipino ang apektado muli ang kabuhayan dahil sa mga restriksiyon bilang pagpapatupad ng safety protocols.
Tweet ni Liza, ”My heart bleeds for all the people who cannot afford not to go out and work. They literally have to choose between dying of starvation or dying of covid. Is our country really this poor to no be able to provide stimulus? Genuine question lang po.”
Ang “stimulus” na tinutukoy ni Liza ay ang stimulus check.
Sa Amerika, ito ay ang financial assistance na ipinagkakaloob ng gobyerno sa taxpayers bilang kanilang panggastos para ma-stimulate ang ekonomiya. Hindi tuloy maiwasang ikompara ni Liza ang local government response sa government response ng Amerika.
Kaya sa sumunod na tweet ni Liza, sabi niya, ”America has received 2 rounds of stimulus already, waiting on the 3rd.Covid testing is free, vaccination is free. Where is the support for the poor in our country? Madali lang naman po mag stay at home if everyone has food on the table and money to pay the bills.”
Isang netizen naman ang kumutya kay Liza dahil sa pagkompara nito sa Pilipinas sa Amerika.
Sabi nito kay Liza, ”poor ang Pilipinas so, don’t expect that narimuch.”
Sinagot ni Liza ang netizen, Aniya, ”So what do we do? Just sit back and wait for a miracle to happen? Pray that covid just disappears. I believe God works wonders but I believe that He gives us the instruments to make that happen. Sad thing is the instruments/decision making are not in our hands.”
