“Ganoon yung contract ko sa ALV, five years. Ang Ang Probinsyano was my first project with them, the pilot episode.
“Needed to have a release form from them before signing with Viva. Eh alam ko, expired na ang contract ko with ALV. Pero nagbigay naman ang ALV ng release form at nagpaalam ako nang maayos kina Arnold Vegafria, kaya malinis naman ang pag-alis ko sa kanila.”
Sitcom ba iyang Puto? Maninibago kaya siya? “I guess, it’s been quite awhile since I did a comedy. Last was Palibhasa Lalake and that was decades ago, hahaha! Medyo kinakabahan nga ako eh, plus this pandemic medyo kinakalawang pa siguro, di ko alam. Balitaan na lang kita kapag nakunan na, hehehe.”
Naka-work na ba niya si Herbert before? “No, but I was with him in a talk show after I graduated from UST. Plus, there was a group exhibition of artists na binuo nina Maria Isabel Lopez and Evangeline Pascual, Mayor, then, bought my work among from the other artists,” wika pa ni Jao na very soon ay mapapanood din sa pelikulang Balangiga 1901.
