Brightlight Productions, producer of the musical-variety show every Sunday at TV5, did not issue some explanation in connection with Donny Pangilinan’s supposed disappearance from the show.
Donny’s one of the show’s original host since it started last October 18, 2020.
But he was not in the show’s opening credits in their New Year’s presentation last January 3.
Piolo Pascual was not also around in the show’s opening salvo for the year 2021.
Dahil dito, nakapagsalita tuloy ang kanyang co-host na si Maja Salvador na “umuwi na sana siya.”
Considered as regular guest performer si Ricci sa nasabing Sunday show kaya flattered siyang ma-elevate bilang main host at kapalit ni Donny.
“I’m just so grateful for the opportunity given to me because they trusted me to do something that I am not familiar of, and I just want to do everything I can to help the show and learn from them,” Ricci asseverated.
Nevertheless, hindi sure ni Ricci kung tuloy-tuloy na ang kanyang showbiz career dahil sa commitment niya sa University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP).
“As of now that’s something I’m not sure of because I still have one more year in the UAAP and we’ll see how it goes.
“But I’m thankful for all the blessings and learnings from this industry (showbiz). It’s different from the industry I’m in tho’ there are similarities, but I’m just happy I’m learning so much things in showbiz.”
Is he pressured?
“Yeah, for sure. But what they told me lang was to just enjoy and make the most out of this because Donny’s been a host for so long and I haven’t had any experience.
“So, there’s a big difference rin talaga but I’m learning.”
