Duterte iwas-pusoy sa impeachment vs Leonen

DUMISTANSIYA si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa inihaing impeachment complaint laban kay Supreme Court Associate Justice Marvic Leonen dahil sa umano’y betrayal of public trust at culpable violation of the Constitution.

“Absolutely not. None,” mabilis na tugon ni Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque nang tanungin sa virtual press briefing kung inendoso ni Pangulong Duterte ang impeachment complaint laban kay Leonen.

“Wala pong kinalaman diyan. We don’t even know who the proponents are,” wika niya.

Inihain ang impeachment complaint laban kay Leonen sa Mababang Kapulungan ng Kongreso ni Edwin M. Cordevilla, secretary-general ng Filipino League of Advocates For Good Government (FLAGG) at inendoso ni Ilocos Norte Rep. Angelo Marcos Barba, pinsan ni dating senador at talunang vice presidential bet Bongbong Marcos.

Ang electoral protest ni Marcos laban kay Vice president Leni Robredo ay nakabinbin sa Presidential Electoral Tribunal na pinamumunuan ni Leonen. (ROSE NOVENARIO)
