US president-elect Joe Biden binati ni Digong Duterte

NAGPAABOT ng mainit na pagbati si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte kay dating Vice President Joseph Robinette “Joe” Biden, Jr., sa pagkahalal na bagong pangulo ng Estados Unidos.

“On behalf of the Filipino nation, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte wishes to extend his warm congratulations to former Vice President Joseph “Joe” Biden on his election as the new President of the United States of America,” ayon sa kalatas ni Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque kahapon.

Desidido aniya ang Filipinas na paigtingin ang relasyon sa US sa ilalim ng administrasyong Biden lalo na’t subok na ang katatagan ng bilateral relations ng dalawang bansa.

“We look forward to working closely with the new administration of President-elect Biden anchored on mutual respect, mutual benefit, and shared commitment to democracy, freedom and the rule of law,” ani Roque.

Nasungkit ni Biden ang sapat na electoral votes na bumigo sa ambisyong makadalawang termino ni Donald Trump.

Habang ang running mate ni Biden na si Senator Kamala Harris ay naitala sa kasaysayan ng Amerika bilang unang babaeng vice president. (ROSE NOVENARIO)
