NITONG Martes ng hapon ay nagsadya si 2018 Miss Universe Catriona Gray sa National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) kasama ang legal counsel na si Atty. Christopher Liquigan ng Alonso and Associates Law Office para humingi ng tulong na ma-trace ang lahat ng nag-upload at nagpakalat ng pekeng hubad na larawan niya sa social media.
Kay Deputy Director Vicente de Guzman III dumiretso sina Catriona at mga kasama nito.
Sabi ni Atty. De Guzman, “The reason why the NBI is conducting an investigation is to determine the persons accountable for its posting in the social media. Kahit sino tamaan niyan itsa-charge namin.”
“We strongly denounce this vicious attempt to tarnish the good name of Ms. Gray. These photos and whatever information statements that are being spread are fake and the pictures are digitally altered,” say naman ni Atty. Liquigan.
Sabi pa, “Actively coordinating with authorities to hold accountable whoever is behind this scheme and face penal sanctions accordingly. We will likewise take legal actions against those involved in the manufacture and publication of the said photo.”
Ayon sa official statement ng legal counsel ni Catriona na si Atty. Joji V. Alonso nitong Martes ng 10:00 p.m.., “Earlier today, Ms Catriona Gray formally sought the assistance of the NBI officials to investigate on the identities of those behind the uploading and seeding of the altered malicious photo, as well as determine the owners of social media accounts created to disparage and malign her name.
“The NBI has graciously offered to assist in the filing of appropriate cases.”
