TAGUMPAY ang #UniTentWeStandPH project ni Angel Locsin kasama ang fiancé niyang si Neil Arce at ilang kaibigan para makapagpatayo ng mga tent sa mga ospital para sa mga Covid-19 patients at medical workers at kaliwa’t kanan ang suportang natanggap ng aktres para rito.
Pero inanunsiyo na ni Angel na hindi na siya tatanggap ng cash donation para sa kanilang fundraising project na #UniTentWeStandPH.
As of April 13 ay nakalikom na sila ng P10,956,702.98 at ipinakita ni ‘Gel ang breakdown ng mga nagastos nila sa pagbili ng 12×24-meter tents.
Kilalang tumutulong si Angel kapag may mga kalamidad o krisis sa bansa at isa na nga itong Covid-19.
Ayon sa video post ni Angel, “Because of your overwhelming support, we are happy to announce that we have sufficiently funded the #UniTENTweStandPH campaign. With a full & grateful heart, we are now ending the fundraising & will no longer accept CASH donations through PayPal, Paymaya, or bank account.
“Due to your generous donations, we were able to provide tents to 69 hospitals to date. During this process, some hospitals have requested sanitation tents to help decrease the viral load for those coming in and out of their health care facility. The team was able to find a credible supplier complete with certification of effectivity and safety.
“Respecting the DOH latest announcement dated April 10, 2020 at 5pm, #unitentwestandph would no longer be donating sanitation tents but would still continue to help our healthcare frontliners with tents that they may use for themselves or for patient care.”
Bagama’t hindi na tatanggap ng cash donations ang aktres ay tuloy-tuloy pa rin ang pagpapatayo nila ng tent para sa frontliners base sa natirang pondo.
May post pa ang aktres na hindi na sila nagdo-donate ng sanitation tents bilang pagsunod sa panawagan ng Department of Health.

“Binuo po ang #UniTENTweStandPH para po makatulong kahit papano sa overcrowding situation sa hospital, sa mga pasyente hindi na po nagagamot, sa mga health workers na hindi nabibigyan ng tamang proteksyon, sa mga pasyenteng nahahalo sa ibang mga cases. Ayun po ang dahilan kung bakit po tayo nandidito.”
Samantala, nagpasalamat naman ang DOH kay Angel sa ginagawa nitong pagtulong sa medical frontliners para labanan ang Covid-19 pandemic.
Sabi pa ng DOH, walang kasiguraduhan kung safe nga ang paggamit ng mga ganitong uri ng tent kaya hindi ito inirerekomenda ng kagawaran.
Kaagad nilinaw ng DOH na sumusunod ang grupo nina Angel sa ipinatutupad na protocol hinggil sa mga idino-donate na mga misting tents.
Ayon kay Usec. Rosario Vergeire ay nakausap na nila si Angel tungkol sa kautusan ng Philppine General Hospital (PGH) na tanggalin ang misting tents na kanilang sinet-up doon.
Klinaro rin ni Usec Vergeire na lahat ng donasyong medical supply at equipment galing sa grupo ni Angel ay nakasunod sa protocol ng DOH.
Kaya naman ipinaabot ng DOH ang pasasalamat nila kay Angel at sa lahat ng mga nagbibigay ng donasyon para sa lahat ng mga apektado ng Covid-19 crisis.
