Tokhang-style execution… Negros 14 nanlaban — Palasyo

NANLABAN ang Negros 14 kaya napatay ng mga awtoridad sa mga lehi­timong police operation sa Negros Oriental kama­kalawa.

Ito ang inihayag ni Presidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo kaugnay sa pagpaslang sa 14 katao sa Negros Oriental, walo sa kanila’y mga magsasaka, habang isinisilbi ng mga pulis ang search warrants.

“It’s a legitimate police operation. Search warrants were issued by competent court, and they were implementing that, and the 14 of them fought with the law enforcers and they were killed in the process,” ani Panelo.

“Twelve of them were arrested, and are now doing the process – legal process,” dagdag niya.

Isinantabi ni Panelo ang mga alegasyon na puntirya ng gobyerno ang mga magbubukid na may kaugnayan sa maka-kaliwang grupo.

“That’s the usual statement issued by those who are linked with the Communist Party of the Philippines,” ani Panelo.

“But the fact remains is that the people subject of the search warrant have been identified as sus­pects in certain ambushes, assassinations, assas­sination attempts,” giit niya.

“It’s [a] police ope­ration and backed up by documents, and the courts believe in them that’s why they issued these warrants,” sabi niya.

Batay sa ulat, ang pagkamatay ng 14 ay habang isinisilbi ang 36 search warrants para sa illegal possession of firearms and explosives, 12 ang nadakip at dalawa ang nakatakas.

Naging pangka­raniwan nang alibi ng mga awtoridad na ‘nanlaban’ ang mga suspek kaya napapaslang sa police operations.
