Palasyo sa Kongreso: ‘Stalemate’ sa 2019 budget tapusin

NANAWAGAN ang Pa­lasyo sa mga senador at kongresista na wakasan na ang iringan sa panu­kalang 2019 national bud­get at ibigay sa samba­yanang Filipino ang isang pambansang budget na makatutulong sa gob­yerno na iangat ang antas ng buhay tungo sa kaun­laran ng bansa.

Ang pahayag ay gina­wa ng Malacañang isang araw matapos ang pu­long ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa liderato ng Senado at Kamara na may layuning wakasan ang stalemate sa isyu ng 2019 budget.

“We call on the Senators and Repre­sen­tatives to break the stalemate and deliver to the Filipino people an appropriations law that can aid this government better their lives and help our country move for­ward,” ayon kay Pre­sidential Spokesman Salvador Panelo.

Ani Panelo, hanggang kahapon ay wala pa rin natatanggap  ang Pala­syo na General Appro­priations Bill (GAB) kahit aprobado na ng bicameral conference committee noon pang 08 Pebrero.

“The Office of the President (OP) has yet to receive the enrolled General Appropriations Bill or GAB for this year despite the approval of the Bicameral Conference Committee of Congress of a version last February 8, 2019,” aniya.

“There is a budget impasse due to some constitutional questions raised by both chambers. Only Congress can resolve and break this impasse,” dagdag niya.

Giit ni Panelo, ginawa ng sangay ng ehekutibo ang tungkulin na isumite ang proposed budget nang maaga upang hindi maabala ang legislative process at maaprobahan ito sa oras ng Kongreso ayon sa kanilang con­stitutional mandate.
