KOMPIYANSA sina defending champion Grandmaster Darwin Laylo, Fide Masters David Elorta at Austin Jacob Literatus sa pagtulak ng 2nd annual Chooks to Go National Rapid Chess Championships sa Oktubre 6, 2018, Sabado na gaganapin sa Activity Center Ayala Malls South Park sa Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
Matatandaan na ang tatlong manlalarong nabanggit ay kapwa nakapagtala ng tig-pitong puntos sa walong laro para tumapos ng three-way tie sa first place sa katatapos na 6th Atty. Jong Guevarra Cup Mindanao Chess Festival NCFP rated Open division nitong Setyembre 29, 2018 na ginanap sa Food Hall, Gaisano Mall sa Toril, Davao City.
Ang iba pang notable players sa Open division meet ay sina Grandmaster Rogelio “Joey” Antonio Jr., International Master Chito Garma, Fide Master Nelson “Elo” Mariano III and National Masters Noel dela Cruz at Emmanuel Emperado.
Ang Open champion (18-years old and above) ay tatangap ng P20,000 cash plus a trophy. Nakalaan naman sa runner-up ang P10,000 at trophy , ang third place ay P7,000 at medal, ang fourth place ay P5,000 at medal at ang fifth place ay P3,000 at medal.
Nakalaan naman sa 6th hanggang 10th place ang tig P2,000 plus medals.
May special awards na tig P2,000 at medals para sa Top 2000 and Below, Top 1900 and Below, Top 1800 and Below, Top Lady at Top Senior.
Ayon kay Rotary Club of Nuvali president Noel Divinagracia ang 2nd Chooks to Go National Rapid Chess Championships ay ipapatupad ang 7-round Swiss System Four Division Tournament na may time control na twenty minutes (20) plus 5 seconds delay sa bawat manlalaro para tapusin ang laro. Ito ay bukas sa lahat ng manlalaro anuman ang kanilang edad, rated o non-rated, male o female.
May 400 chess players mula Metro Manila at iba pang parte ng bansa ang inaasahang lalahok sa National Chess Federation of the Philippines sanctioned tournament.
Ang organizers Rotary Club of Nuvali at Muntinlupa City sa pakikipagtulungan ng Ayala Malls South Park at Philippine Executive Chess Association ay naglatag din ng Kiddies division (12-years old and below), Junior division (13-years old to 17-years old) at Executive division (PECA Members).
