NASA Europe si Alexis Navarro nang ginanap ang presscon ng pelikulang The Maid In London na pinagbibidahan nina Andi Eigenmann at Matt Evans, kaya hindi siya naka-attend sa naturang okasyon. Nasa Europe si Alexis para pasayahin ang mga kababayan sa fiesta style na pagdiriwang doon.
Sa pamamagitan ng Facebook ay na-interview namin siya at nabanggit ng aktres ang role niya sa pelikula na pinamahalaan ni Direk Danni Ugali.
“I’m playing the role of Faye po… best friends kami ni Margo (Andi),” saad niya.
Dagdag ni Alexis, “Some people are asking about the difference between Andi’s The Maid in London and Jennifer Lopez’s Maid in Manhattan. Here it is – Maid in Manhattan is a romantic comedy. The story of Marisa Ventura (Jennifer), a single mother born and bred in the boroughs of New York City, who works as a maid in a first-class Manhattan hotel. Fate steps in and throws the pair together for a magical night of romance. When Marisa’s true identity is revealed, the two find that they are worlds apart.
“Whilst The Maid in London is a drama. It is inspired by true events. The story of two best friends, Margo (Andi) and Faye (Alexis) working illegally in the United Kingdom, struggling to obtain permanent residency visa, hence every day they fear of getting caught by immigration police.
“The story has many twists and turns which make it more interesting to watch and inspirations to all overseas workers around the world and an eye-opener to their families back home. Showing the sacrifices they make just to provide them with the quality of life for their loved ones no matter how hard life is being illegal overseas workers. Now, what makes it similar? They are both gorgeous, excellent in their performance as the maids’ roles.”

Ang The Maid in London ay mapapanood na sa July 4. Ito’y sa screenplay ni Direk Danni at base sa librong Tago ng Tago ni BL Pangasinan. Tampok din dito sina Polo Ravales, Janice Jurado, Joshua de Guzman, at iba pa. Mula sa Cinemanila, UK at Viva Films, ang producers ay sina BL Panganiban, Beth Rees, Steve Rees, Mark O’driscoll, Nhing O’driscoll, at Danni Ugali.
