PINAGBIBITIW sa pu­westo ni Pangulong Ro­drigo Duterte ang dala­wang assistant secretaries dahil sa umano’y pagka­kasangkot sa katiwalian at korupsiyon.

Inihayag ni Presi­dential Spokesperson Harry Roque ang desisyon ng Pangulo matapos ang isinagawang rekomen­dasyon ng Presidential Anti-Corruption com­mission (PACC).

Tinukoy ni Roque si Justice Assistant Secre­tary Moslemen T. Maca­rambon Sr., na dapat nang magpaalam sa posisyon dahil sa regular aniyang pagpapadrino sa suspected smugglers ng ginto at mga alahas sa Ninoy Aquino Interna­tional Airport (NAIA).

“The president has advised two assistant secretaries to tender their resignations or face termi­nation for corruption. One is, Assistant Secretary Moslemen T. Macaram­bon Sr., of the Depart­ment of Justice. Investi­gation conducted by the Presidential Anti-Cor­ruption Commission revealed that Asec. Ma­carambon has regularly been intervening on behalf of suspected smugglers of gold and other precious jewelry at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA),” ani Roque.

Kinilala rin ni Roque ang isa pa sa nais mawala ng Pangulo sa gobyerno si Assistant Secretary Ti­nga­gun A. Umpa ng Depart-ment of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) dahil sa pang­hihingi ng komisyon sa mga contractor sa ARMM.

“Likewise, Assistant Secretary Tingagun A. Umpa of the Department of Public Works and Highways has been advised to tender his resignation. Investigation conducted by the DPWH indicates that Asec. Umpa committed grave abuse of power and may have committed also acts of corruption, among others DPWH has sworn statements where Asec. Umpa allegedly asked from contractors in the ARMM area for certain percentages from projects awarded to these con­tractors,” dagdag niya.

Naniniwala si Roque na masusundan pa ito dahil sa kasalukuyan ay may 400 reklamo ang nakasalang sa PACC.
