Double compensation vs Bobby Teo posible (Bukod sa conflict of interest)

HINDI lang conflict of interest, maaari rin makuwestiyon sa isyu ng double compensation si Roberto Teo, ang esposo ni Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo.

Kinompirma kahapon ni Roque na nagbitiw na ang lalaking Teo bilang board member ng Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA).

“Ang pagkakaintindi ko po and I promise to clarify whether or not nandoon pa nga po sa TIEZA apparently si Mr. Teo po was an appointee of President Aquino into — in the TIEZA. And he has long tendered his resignation. Pero wala pa pong kapalit kaya raw po nandoon pa siya. Pero ngayon po raw yata ang sinabi niya na hindi na talaga siya pupunta sa mga meetings ‘no. Ang natatakot lang daw po siya ay iyong de-reliction of duty ‘no, iyong dahil ‘pag wala pang kapalit baka naman sabihin, ‘bakit mo binakante?” ani Roque.

Nabatid na si Teo ay itinalaga ni Pangulong Duterte bilang isa sa board of directors ng Landbank noong Agosto 2017 sa panahong nakaupo rin siya bilang TIEZA board member.

Nakasaad sa Civil Service Law o Presidential Decree 807 Section 46, Additional or Double Compensation. “No elective or appointive public officer or employee shall receive additional or double compensation unless specifically authorized by law nor accept without the consent of the President, any present, emolument, office, or title of any kind from any foreign state.”
