3rd telco player ‘wag pakialaman (Babala sa korte ni Digong)

NAGBABALA si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa mga hukuman na huwag hadlangan ang pagpasok ng ikatlong telecommunications industry player mula sa China.

“I do not want the courts to interfere and prolong this process. Do not issue any TROs or injunctions. This is a matter of national interest for the benefit of the public,” pahayag ni Pangulong Duterte, ayon kay Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque sa press briefing sa Palasyo kahapon.

Inatasan ng Pangulo ang Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) at National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) na tiyaking handa ang third telco player na sumabak sa negosyo sa Filipinas sa unang tatlong buwan ng 2018.

Nagbigay ng direktiba ang Pangulo sa lahat ng kaukulang ahensiya at lokal na pamahalaan na mag-isyu ng permit sa loob ng isang linggo matapos magsumite ng requirements.

“This should also be the case for permits of incumbent telecom players. If the permits are not issued within seven days, the permits are deemed approved,” ani Roque.

Nauna nang tinukoy ng Palasyo ang China Telecom Corporation Limited ng Chinese government bilang third player sa telco industry sa bansa.
