IKINAGALAK ng Palasyo ang pagbabayad nang buo ng Philippine Airlines (PAL) ng kanilang pagkakautang na P6-B sa gobyerno kahapon.
“We are pleased to announce that PAL’s financial obligations to the government amounting to P6 billion, which were incurred since 1970s up to July 2017, have finally been settled,” sabi sa kalatas ni incoming Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque.

Ayon kay Roque, ang pagtalima ng PAL sa kanilang obligasyong pinansyal sa pamahalaan ay nagpapakita ng matatag na paninindigan ng administrasyong Duterte sa mga usapin na kapaki-pakinabang sa bansa.
“The conclusion of this long-standing issue under the Duterte administration underscores our strong commitment to decisively act on matters that would greatly benefit the nation’s best inte-rest,” aniya.
Naniniwala ang Palasyo, malayo ang mararating ng salaping ibinayad ng PAL upang tustusan ang priority programs ng pamahalaan.
“This settlement will go a long way in funding the administration’s priority programs,” dagdag ni Roque.
