DADALO kami sa Senate hearing.
Ito ang pahayag nina presidential son at Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte, at presidential son-in-law Atty. Manases Carpio.
“We have received an invitation from the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee to attend their hearing on Thursday, September 7,” anila sa kalatas na ipinadala sa media kahapon.
“We duly recognize the coercive powers of the Senate of the Philippines as part of the legislative branch of government and their authority to conduct an inquiry in aid of legislation. We commit to respect the invitation and attend the hearing,” dagdag nila. Antonio Trillanes IV.
“Ang advice ko kay Polong? Punta ka roon. And then pagdating mo, doon sa questions, sabihin mo, “I will not answer you.” He added, “I’m invoking my right of silence kasi noong eleksiyon pa, hindi pa Presidente tatay ko, binibira mo na kami. So if you want evidence, do not get it from the mouth of other people. Go somewhere else,” anang Pangulong Duterte.
“When a person invokes a Constitutional right, you cannot infer anything wrong there. And you cannot force a person to testify. All you have to do is to send a letter. We are not answering your questions. I will not submit to an investigation. For what? You are on a fishing expedition,” giit ng Pangulo.
