Lovi Poe may mania for privacy (“We’re emotional toys in terms of being actors…”)

Lovi Poe appears to have this mania for privacy: “People should not really try to get into your personal life. Just because we’re public figures doesn’t mean that we have to be an open book to everybody, ‘no!”

She admires Nadine Lustre guts in admitting her live-in relationship with James Reid.

“You know what, I really admire her,” she said at the presscon of her Regal movie “Woke Up Like This” last August 4 that he is co-starring with comedian/actor/dancer Vhong Navarro. “I’ve met her in this event, and she’s very real.

“And I really admire her… the fact that she’s very honest.”

But when the interview had focused on her boyfriend Chris Johnson and their supposed live in relationship, she was suddenly evasive. “Wala, I really don’t want to say anything because I want to keep things private.”

May postings kasi sa Instagram na nakikitang nakapambahay lang si Chris o nakikitang nagluluto.

“My God, he’s always like that, he always dresses like that!” she gushingly averred. “He cooks in my house kapag may cook-out kami ng mga friends ko, one time pa nga my mom was there.”

Idinagdag din ni Lovi na she supposedly would want to make things private in as far as her love life is concerned.

“Whatever it is, I always said I want to be a private person,” she cooed. “People should not really try to get into your personal life rin naman talaga, e.

“Just because we’re public figures doesn’t mean that we have to be an open book to everybody, ‘no!

“We’re emotional toys in terms of being actors, I think that is already good enough.”

Asked to comment about her boyfriend, she said there’s nothing much to talk about it. It’s just a normal thing.

“Basically, the things between me and Chris, we’ve only just begun,” she expounded. “He’s a private person, gano’n na lang. Chill lang naman siyang tao.”

Oo nga’t may negosyo sa Filipinas ang kanyang boyfriend but the Filipino-French businessman has also numerous businesses abroad that’s why he is not here most of the time.

She was amused though when asked when was the last time that she woke up with someone beside her.

“Ayokong sagutin ‘yan!” she joked. “I always wake up with my dog, Señorito.

“Minsan paggising ko, nandito siya sa ulo ko. Sabi ko, ‘Tao ka?’ Kasi nandoon talaga siya.”

Did she ever try any live in arrangement?

“No, I’m super independent. I like being on my own,” she answered levelly. “To be honest, mabilis kasi akong magkaroon ng sawa, so I really need my space, that’s very important.”

Samantala, she is not being seen sa kanilang telefantasya na Mulawin vs. Ravena, is her character Magindara going to be back?

“But, yes, babalik pa raw ako,” she said in all excitement.

And with that, ito po ang Kuya Pete ninyo na nagsasabing, Christopher, my son, I love you very, very much, my love for you goes beyond eternity.
