“We’re calling on the police and our security and investigation agencies to fast-track the early resolution of these cases and to bring to justice those who perpetrate these acts because that’s the only way we can actually protect not just the health workers but our people in general, to make sure that those who perpetrate the crime are brought to justice,” giit ni Ubial sa press briefing sa Palasyo kahapon.
“He was actually murdered point blank by riding-in-tandem assailants is still under investigation. So we have not uncovered the reason for such murder of our doctor,” ani Ubial.
“Actually to our count, there are four health workers already subjected to senseless killing this year. The first was Dr. Dreyfuss Perlas in Lanao del Norte, the second was a doctor in Cotabato City attending to patients was gunshot or subject to gunshot in broad daylight, and the third was another health worker from DoH ARMM and whose throat was slit in front of his pregnant wife in Arakan Valley, North Cotabato, and the fourth one is the provincial health officer of Cavite,” dagdag ni Ubial.
