Rep. Pichay panagutin sa illegal mining — NDF

DAPAT managot ang sagadsaring corrupt na o-pisyal ng pamahalaan gaya ni Surigao del Sur First District Rep. Prospero “Butch” Pichay sa paglapastangan sa kalikasan sa rehiyon ng CARAGA at talamak na paglabag sa batas.

Sa kalatas ng National Democratic Front- North Eastern Mindanao Region (NDF-NEMR), si-nabi ng tagapagsalitang si Maria Malaya, patuloy ang operasyon ng Claver Mining and Development Corporation (CMDC) sa kabila ng suspension order ni Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Secretary Gina Lopez noong 12 Agosto.

“Utterly corrupt officials like Butch Pichay should be taken to task! The NDFP-NEMR, will continue to expose the shameless corruption of Butch Pichay. It will heed the clamor of the people of Caraga of ending the destructive mining operation of CMDC!” ayon sa NDFP-NEMR.

Ani Malaya, sa kabila na nasabat ng mga operatiba ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) ang ilegal na pagkarga ng nickel ore ng CMDC sa barko noong Setyembre 29 ay hindi ito nahinto, bagkus ay naging regular na aktibidad pa ito.

“CMDC operations including the loading and selling of nickel ore, were suspended by now DENR Secretary Gina Lopez in August 12 this year. Still, Pichay, ever defiant, continue to load nickel ore. In September 29, 2016, the illegal loading of nickel ore for shipment was halted by operatives from the NBI. But it seems that corrupt officials have strong networks with fellow corrupt officials as the loading of nickel ore continue, day and night, in plain sight of everyone travelling by the area,” anang NDF-NEMR.

Giit ni Malaya, pondo mula sa korupsiyon ang muling nagluklok kay Pichay sa Kongreso at sa pagtiyak ng mga tiwaling opisyal sa administras-yong Duterte ay ginagamit ni Pichay ang kanyang posisyon upang gahasain ang likas na yaman ng Caraga at tahasang binabalewala ang mga reaksyonaryong batas ng bansa.
