KAPWA kinilala ang galing nina Arjo at Ria Atayde sa katatapos na 30th Star Awards for TV ng Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC). Si Arjo ay nanalong Best Drama Supporting Actor (ka-tie si Arron Villaflor) para sa kanyang natatanging pagganap sa FPJ: Ang Probinsyano. Samantala si Ria naman ay nanalong Best New Female TV Personality para sa mahusay na performance sa MMK (Puno ng Mangga) episode.
Actually, double victory ang natamo ng mga talented na anak ni Ms. Sylvia Sanchez dahil bukod sa acting awards ay nanalo rin sina Ria at Arjo ng Female and Male Star of the Night for Music, respectively.
Nang naka-chat ko si Ria, inusisa namin ang naramdaman niya nang tinawag siya bilang winner. “Super nagulat po ako, kasi hindi ko po inasahan. Pagdating po sa stage, iba po. Parang… nanginginig o ninerbiyos ako. Haha. Hindi ko po mahanap yung mga sasabihin ko. Hindi ko po in-expect, akala ko po si Arjo lang. Kampante po kasi ako na si Arjo mananalo kasi ang husay po niya. So akala ko po support lang, tapos yung mga nakahanay ko po mas sikat sa akin, so hindi ko po talaga inasahan,” saad ni Ria.
Narito naman ang mahabang post ni Ria hinggil sa kanyang nakuhang karangalan.
“What an honor to be awarded as the Best New Female TV Personality. Not the best photo of me nor the best speech I’ve given…so nerve-wracking. So much so that I forgot to thank so many people…so please deal with me this will be a long post. First off, thank you to the PMPC. As I said, it’s an honor to be able to do what I love and even more special to be recognized for it.
