“Kasi we’re dealing with children, they’re more fragile, they’re more sensitive, so you have to consult especially for someone like me been more cautious for everything I say,” kuwento ng TV host/actor.
Wala namang problema ang TV host sa mga bagets, katunayan may mga natutuhan din siya kung paano makisalamuha sa mga ito, ”I host for ‘Star Circle Quest for Kids’ almost 10 years ago, I did two or three seasons, I did ‘Minute to Win It’ na kids, junior, plus I host for ‘Pilipinas Got Talent’ a lot of kids, so I’d like to think that I was well equipped before even start the ‘Voice Kids’.”
Napansin din ni Luis na malaki na ang pagkakaiba ng mga bata ngayon kompara sa mga batang sumali sa reality shows 10 taon na ang nakararaan.
“These kids are so mature parang ako (nagugulat), for example we have contestants ages 8 years old, they had 30 singing contests already. Even you say they’re so fragile, grabe rin naman ‘yung maturity nila, that’s completely different ‘yung mga kids ngayon.
“They know what they want, they know what to pursue their dreams, and it’s not just they were push to join the competition, they’re after what they’re really, really want to join ‘The Voice of the Philippines’.”
At may payo si Luis sa mga bagets, ”If they’re given a chance, once in a lifetime chance pursue your dreams, go for it, but, big BUT don’t forget your studies.
“I was a working student, I was doing ‘SCQ’, ‘MYX’, I was studying, so kumbaga given this opportunity, hindi naman araw-araw may kumakatok na opportunity sa buhay mo, go for it, but please, please, also up to their parents, to reinforce the importance of education. Go for your dreams, kung kinakailangan, sige fine take a break for a while, don’t forget your studies.”
