HINDI na raw natuto si Xian Lim sa kanyang karanasan sa nakaraang Chinese New Year na na-offend niya ang kalokalike ni Kim Chiu sa presentation ng Banana Split. Ngayong Chinese New Year 2015 ay nalagay na naman siya sa alanganin dahil may isyu ang pagpunta niya sa Bicol.
Nabasa namin sa Facebook account ni Gov. Joey Salceda na, ”Xian Lim says in my face (Atty Carol) while handing the coffee table book in front of many—‘I’m not here to promote albay’.
“If his road manager checks his record, Albay paid for his many guestings since way back 2011 when his talent fee was just P75.000 (Ginoo ni Magayon) and now P350,000 for Fiesta Tsinoy Albay. Its either 1. His parents did not raise him well. 2. He had bad education. 3. He is not managed well. 4. His character is inversely proportional to his looks. 5. He is on something.”
Ayon naman sa Twitter account ng actor @XianLimm, hindi ang pagpu-promote ng Albay province ang tinanggihan niya kundi hindi siya pumayag isuot ang T-shirt na ibinigay sa kanya, kasama ng coffee table book ng Albay.
“I just read an online article about an incident which is deeply upsetting because it doesn’t tell the right story. In the article I was quoted as saying ‘I am not here to promote Albay’, something I never said or would ever say.
“Earlier, the author of the online article handed me a coffee table book of Albay and a t-shirt to wear. My exact words to her were ‘Sorry po, hindi ko maisuot yung tshit kasi baka magka-conflict sa clothing endorsement ko. Pasensiya na po.’ Later on, someone reported her as saying ‘Ayaw daw niya.’ I love Albay and I am always happy to be here with its good people. I deeply apologize to Governor Salceda and the people of Albay for the misunderstanding about my reasons for refusal to wear the t shirt.”
Eto naman ang pangalawang post niya sa kanyang Twitter account, ”My parents raised me to be respectful and generous to everyone, and my management has always stressed the virtues of decency and humility. I do not do drugs and have worked hard to get to where I am. If you send me the t shirt and after I have cleared it with my clothing endorsement, I would be more than happy to wear it online and on air. I am also very willing to promote the book of Albay.”
Sa Facebook account naman ng Entertainment Editor na si Dindo Balares ay may paliwanag naman si Atty. Carol Sabio.
“The tshirt was wt ‘Albay’ and Mayon volcano print. It is not a business brand but prints showing the beauty of a tourist spot. Hindi n’ya po na nakita ang tshirt kc i was about to unfold it when he told me na “ayaw ko po” sabay hawi sa kamay ko. So i proceeded to present the coffee table instead but told me , “i did not come here to promote Albay”. So i said, “ o ligpit na yan at ayaw nya”. I was wt 4 people who i thought did not hear him say it but they all chorused that they heard it too.”
Pangalawang post ni Atty. Sabio, ”It is a welcome gift which we traditionally give to famous stars like Jose Mari Chan. Danielle Padilla, Kris Aquino, Richard Yap, Beauty queens and many more, halos lahat ng artista nanggaling na sa Albay. All other dignitaries, QueenSsofia of Spain. Ambassador of US and others, senators, cabinet secretaries, foreigners and respected people, including from the media. Si Pnoy included”
Anyway, magsilbing leksiyon na ito sa susunod na bago kunin ang artista, idetalye lahat ang kanyang gagawin at obligasyon ‘pag inimbita sa isang event. Hindi ‘yung nagkakagulatan, may nagmamaldito, at nagkakaroon ng miscommunication.
Minsan kasi ‘yung TF ng artista, nakabase ‘yan kung ano ang gagawin. Sa status ni Xian ngayon, reasonable ‘yung P350,000 na budget para mag-perform sa isang out of town show. Separate pa ‘yan sa TF kung gusto nilang mag-motorcade ang isang artista at may iba pang gagawin.
Sa susunod, mas nakabubuti ring kausapin muna ang handler o road manager ng artista kung puwedeng magsuot ng t-shirt, pahawakin ng isang bagay, hindi ‘yung idinidiretso na sa artista para hindi magkaroon ng conflict. Sumusunod lang ang artista sa final decision ng management kaya hindi aangal ‘yan.
Sa kaso ni Xian, maging maingat din siya sa pagsagot at pagsasalita dahil sa kasikatan niya ngayon, nagre-reflect din sa kanya bawat salitang binibitawan niya. Mas nakabubuti rin na ituro niya ang management niya na kausapin muna para walang problema at hindi siya lumabas na maldito.
