Pasakalye n’ya (published as is): “I usually dont like answering them but I have to admit, nahuhurt ako pag sinasabing ‘wala ka namang ginawa.’
“Now I dont really like having to explain myself, I’m sure nanotice nyo naman sa tuwing may binabato sa ‘kin na issue tahimik lang talaga ako.
“But this time I feel like I need to say something…
“Ang saya saya ko everytime I give back in my own little way. And it hurts me when people say na wala naman akong ginawa or ginagawa.”
“Pinopost ko naman pero somehow people only notice the glam pics and my photos with Jeremy,” pagtukoy niya sa kanyang boyfriend na si Jeremy Jauncey, isang Scottish businessman.
“After the success of my very first fundraiser I gained the confidence to do more,” ani Pia, na naging aktibo sa pagtulong sa frontliners noong first few months ng pandemya sa bansa.
Patuloy n’ya: “So then when Vestido and Aquafina asked me to donate gowns I wore as Miss Universe, I said yes! Gowns and shoes were auctioned off all for charity.
“A few months later I was asked by WWF [World Wide Fund for Nature] to join their team and I was so happy to be a part of it and learn more, also because Jeremy who is a global Ambassador for WWF, has been teaching me so much about it,” pagtukoy ni Pia sa international non-government organization.
“I also do a free talk with UNAIDS every 3 months.”
Pagpapabatid pa ni Pia: “I even personally reached out to beauty queens myself to help us spread the word so we could collect more and help more.
“Syempre nag donate din kami from our own pockets.
“I was so happy to see that even though bagong bago palang ang podcast namin, we were able to collect over 400 thousand pesos.”
“I kept myself busy during this pandemic by helping, donating, keeping myself updated with the news and doing free interviews and talks.”
“Around the same time I also partnered with a local restaurant to continously deliver lunch and dinner to the ICU unit Makati Med for weeks and that was with my own money.”
Lahad n’ya (published as is): “This year has been tough for me too. Ive been trying to keep my head up and balance work and businesses, my personal life and even family issues.
“I’ve been through some really dark times this year (even Jeremy has seen it) but somehow I’ve been able to fight through it and I havent forgotten about the people who believe in me.”
“So to my bashers who work so hard to bring me down, okay lang sakin kung ayaw nyo sakin or iba kasi ang bet nyo.”
