TUP Manila campus walang face-to-face classes sa Abril 7-8

NAGDEKLARA ng suspensiyon ang Technological University of the Philippines (TUP) Manila para sa face-to-face classes ngayong Lunes, 7 Abril, at bukas, araw ng Martes Tuesday, 8 Abril, kasunod ng malungkot na insidenteng nakaapekto sa buong campus.

               Sa paskil sa social media account ng TUP USG – Manila, sinabi nitong tumugon ang administrasyon ng unibersidad sa kanilang kahilingan sa pamamagitan ng opisyal na memorandum.

               Sinabi ng administrasyon na ipatutupad ang remote asynchronous learning (RSL) ngayong Lunes dahil sa kalunos-lunos na kamatayan ng isang estudyante sa College of Industrial Education.

“As a sign of respect and solidarity, April 7 shall be observed as a Day of Mourning to allow space for community reflection and grieving,” saad sa memorandum.

               Dagdag ng TUP-USG Manila, “University offices will remain operational. However, students are discouraged from entering the university premises. Urgent concerns must be formally addressed to the Vice President for Academic Affairs.”

Sa opisyal na komunikasyon ng TUP USG-Manila, hiniling nila sa adminitrasyon na ipatupad ang RSL mula 7-13 Abril kaugnay ng insidente sa unibersidad.

Hiniling din ng student government ng kaluwagan sa academic work sa nasabing panahon. (HNT)
