“WE’RE still here. We’re celebrating our 6th anniversary and we’re excited about that.” Ito ang nilinaw at igiit ng presidente ng Kumu na si James Rumohr nang usisan namin kung ano ang nangyari sa kanilang apps dahil tila hindi na namin sila nararamdaman.
Pagtatama ni James sa amin, hindi sila nawala. Katunayan ipagdiriwang nila ngayong taon sa Agosto ang kanilang ika-6 na anibersaryo at excited sila rito.
“We’re still here as far as becoming the top Philippine streaming apps. We’re embracing the Filipino culture, that’s why we’re still here and we’re celebrating our 6th anniversary,” giit pa ni James.
Sinabi naman ni Jeffrey Jimenez, SM Agency owner nang usisain namin ang ukol sa kita ng mga content creator nila,“ Actually it’s not about how much the streamers are getting their salary, we’re so very proud that we’re under Kumu. Actually we and Kumu, I can say from my part, I can count myself as a Kumu because I believe in the mission and vision of the company.
“Kumu has a license and office in the Philippines versus other apps that don’t have. This I can say this is probably a Filipino, this is Filipino apps and we are definitely Filipino,” giit pa ni Jeffrey.
“When Kumu started as a collaboration with artists, influencers, two things happened last year. The Kumu go beyond the expectation of the people. They go to the extra miles even they are the popular they, they are not famous, they won’t fail you. Even the normal people they can be part of Kumu regardless what is your age, what is your gender, even you have talent as long as you are a good people you are welcome to Kumu,” dagdag pa ni Jeffrey.
“Kumu is primarily a committed building apps, so I guess versus other apps you wouldn’t see like rags to riches something like that. But what we will see in Kumu is the interaction with the watchers which other social media don’t have. ‘Yung mga manonood maaaring magbigay ng virtual gifts. Mayroon din tayong ino-offer na live streaming competitions, it goes beyond monetary prices. So itong streamers natin inilalagay natin sa isang billboard, sa isang music video, hindi pera-pera lang. Pero with all the opportunity to be part of something bigger, so medyo ganoon itong sa amin,” sabi naman ni AJ Tabangay, Kumu Marketing Manager.
Kasamang humarap sa naganap na media conference ang ilan sa SM Agency top quality streamers ng KUMU tulad nina Jayr Sabinay, Jaime Ballesteros, Rogie Guillermo, Sandy Ian Garcia, Peter Miles, at Bryan Cortez.
At mula sa mga kuwento nila malaki ang naitulong ng Kumu hindi lang financially pero sa tamang attitude, makakakilala ng maraming kaibigan, naipakikita ang kanilang talento, at nakakapag-boost ng kanilang confidence.
Sa anim na streamer binigyan ng award si Peter Miles bilang Top 1 Live Streamer in Kumu at Grand slam Award and Bulsahan Award.
Nagkaroon ng first year Gala noong July 19 ang SM Agency para ipagdiwang ang isang taon nila sa Kumu.
