MTRCB is always monitoring.
Nagpahatid ng memorandum sa lahat ng cinema operators ang MTRCB (Movie and Television Review and Classification Board) na ipagbawal ang exhibition ng unclassified at unrated version ng trailer ng Third World Romance. Nagtataglay daw ito ng profanity.
“It has come to our attention that an unclassified and unrayed version of the trailer of ‘Third World Romance’ with the expletive phrase “putang ina” in one of the scenes is being exhibited in cinemas.
“The said uncensored version of the trailer has not been reviewed by the Board, hence has NO Permit to Exhibit.
“We would like to remind all cinema operators of Section 1, Article III, of Memorandum Circular No. 04-2014 which provides that “only such versions of trailers duly approved and passed by the Board shall be fit for public exhibition. The introduction of any change or revision to the trailer reviewed shall render the trailer, as changed or revised, as a whole new version requiring a new independent application for review with the Board.” In this connection we strongly advise that you refrain from exhibiting the said version of the trailer.
“Further, a Notice to Appear and Explain will be served to the distributor/producer of the said trailer.
“For your proper guidance and strict compliance.”
