US, CHINA UNANG BUMATI KAY MARCOS

HANGGANG sa pagbati kay presumptive president Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr., ay tila nag-unahan ang Estados Unidos at China.

Isang araw matapos ‘angkinin’ ni Marcos, Jr., ang tagumpay sa 2022 presidential elections kahit hindi pa tapos ang opisyal na bilangan sa Commission on Elections (Comelec) ay nakatanggap siya ng tawag kahapon ng umaga mula kay US President Joe Biden na ayon sa White House ay tinalakay ang “strengthening the US-Philippine alliance, while expanding bilateral cooperation on a wide range of issues, including the fight against COVID-19, addressing the climate crisis, promoting broad-based economic growth, and respect for human rights.”

Pagdating ng hapon ay nag-courtesy call kay Marcos, Jr., si Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Huang Xilian at personal na iniabot sa kanya ang congratulatory note mula kay Chinese President Xi Jin Ping.

“The Chinese embassy conveyed its hope ‘to bring the two countries’ relationship of Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation to new heights,’” ayon sa kalatas ng kampo ni Marcos, Jr.

Sa panayam sa ANC, sinabi ni Atty. Vic Rodriguez, tagapagsalita ni Marcos, Jr., hindi magiging exclusive ang Filipinas sa alinmang bansa sa ilalim ng kanilang administrasyon.

“The interest of the Filipino people and the national interest comes first and it will never be compromised especially our territorial integrity,” ani Rodriguez. (ROSE NOVENARIO)
