Palasyo napako sa pangako sa health workers

KINALAMPAG ng health workers mula sa iba’t ibang ospital ang tanggapan ng Department of Budget Management (DBM) sa Malacañang Complex para singilin ang hindi pa bayad nilang dalawang taong performance based bonus, hazard pay at special risk allowance.

Mula magsimula ang CoVid-19 pandemya, samot-saring papuri at parangal ng administrasyong Duterte sa kabayanihan ng health workers ngunit ang kanila palang lehitimong mga benepisyo ay hindi nila natatanggap sa oras.

Sinabi ni Jever Bernardo, presidente ng National Children’s Hospital Employees Association – Alliance of Health Worker, desmayado na ang kanilang hanay dahil sa hindi maayos na pagtrato sa kanila ng pamahalaan.

“Health workers are already struggling to cope with and fight the unseen enemy and yet the benefits that they deserve are even harder to obtain,” anang Alliance of Health Workers sa kalatas.

Para kay Cristy Donguines, presidente ng Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center Employees Union dapat din itaas ang sahod ng mga manggagawa na nasa sektor pangkalusugan.

Demoralisado aniya ang health workers dahil sa hindi patas at hindi pagbibigay ng health benefits.

“DOH and DBM guidelines provide that the grant of AHDP and SRA will only be selective, and that only health workers with direct contact with CoVid-19 patients are eligible to receive the said benefits,” anila. (ROSE NOVENARIO)
