Libreng CoVid-19 test sa obrero aprub kay Duterte

HINIMOK ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang mga employer na magsagawa ng libreng CoVid-19 test sa kanilang mga empleyado lalo ang mga may “vulnerable condition” o madaling mahawaan ng sakit.

“It could be a private or public establishment or area. But the employers, ‘yung mga amo, are highly encouraged to send their employees for testing at no cost to the employees,” anang Pangulo sa kanyang public address kamakalawa ng gabi.

Inilinaw ng Pangulo na ang real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test ay hindi kailangan sa asymptomatic employees na magbabalik sa trabaho.

“Let me clarify, ang RT-PCR. Repeat, RT. T. RT-PCR, or antibody-based tests is not recommended or required for asymptomatic employees returning to work. Hindi kailangan. However, mayroong ano nito caveat, may warning — however, the following priority workers in the sectors may undergo — may undergo. Pero akin ay ano na lang. Ang hospital pati sa tourism sectors, isa ‘yan. Manufacturing companies and public service providers in economic zones located within Special Concern Areas and those of highest COVID-19 cases,” sabi niya.

Kailangan aniya bigyang prayoridad sa tuloy-tuloy na RT-PCR trest ang mga manggagawa.

“Unahin muna natin ‘yung tao. Mawala tayo, nandiyan pa ang Filipinas. Pero mawala ang tao, wala na ang Filipinas. So unahin natin ‘yung tao,” sabi ng Pangulo.

Batay sa joint memorandum circular ng Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) at the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), ang RT-PCR ang kikilaning test para sa tinukoy na “priority individuals.”

Nakasaad sa memorandum na lahat ng manggagawa sa  hospitality at tourism sectors sa El Nido, Boracay, Coron, Panglao, Siargao at iba pang tourist zones na tinukoy ng Department of Tourism (DOT) ay maaaring isailalim sa RT-PCR test isang beses isang buwan.

Habang ang mga obrero mula sa manufacturing companies at public service providers na nakarehistro sa economic zones sa special concern areas ay maaaring i-swab test kada tatlong buwan pati ang frontline at economic priority workers.

“Similarly, a memorandum from the Department of Health (DOH) states that, ‘all testing facilities shall utilize the appropriate PhilHealth benefits and/or any benefit provided by Health Maintenance Organizations or Private Health Insurance for COVID-19 testing to reimburse the cost of testing,’” sabi sa kalatas ng Palasyo.
