INAMIN ng Palasyo na nasa ‘perpetual isolation’ si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte at hanggang anim na talampakan ang layo sa mga tao na puwedeng makasalamuha niya.
Inihayag ni Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque na regular na sumasailalim sa polymerase chain reaction tests para matiyak na ligtas sa CoVid-19 ang Pangulo.
Ani Roque, nagagampan nang maayos ng Presidential Security Group (PSG) ang kanilang tungkulin na tiyakin ang kaligtasan ng Punong Ehekutibo kasunod ng ulat na nagpositibo sa CoVid-19 si Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año.
“There is a velvet rope that keeps him at least six feet away from everyone else. He’s in ‘perpetual’ isolation, in the sense that the PSG has done a very good job in making sure that no one really comes close to the President,” ani Roque.
“Ang Presidente naman po, technically wala siyang close contact… Malayo po kaming lahat kay Presidente, at naka-face shield at naka-face mask. Pero I believe the others po are also in self-isolation now,” ayon kay Roque.
Tuloy aniya ang virtual meeting ng Inter-Agency Task Force on the Emerging Infectious Diseases at inaasahang ihahayag ng Pangulo ang bagong quarantine protocols na paiiralin sa National Capital Region at iba pang karatig lalawigan simula sa Miyerkoles ,19 Agosto. (ROSE NOVENARIO)
