HINDI umeskapo ng bansa si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte at nananatili lamang sa Davao City, ayon sa Palasyo.
“There is no truth that President Rodrigo Roa Duterte left the country this weekend,” sabi ni Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque sa text message sa Palace reporters kahapon.
Nakatutok aniya ang Punong Ehekutibo sa sitwasyon ng coronavirus disease (CoVid-19) sa bansa.
“The Chief Executive is in the Philippines and closely monitoring the CoVid-19 situation in the country,” dagdag ni Roque.
Walang binanggit si Roque kung ano ang pinaghugutan ng kanyang paglilinaw sa kinaroroonan ng Pangulo.
Kaugnay nito, tiniyak ni Roque na tuloy ang pulong ng Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases at public address ni Pangulong Duterte ngayon kahit hindi kasama si Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año.
Kinompirma kahapon ni Año na nagpositibo siya sa CoVid-19.
“We were all tested pursuant to the requirement of Mayor Sara (Duterte) at least 72 hours before entry into the city,” sabi ni Roque.
“All those seeing PRRD on Monday tested negative except for Secretary Año,” dagdag niya.
Inaasahang ihahayag ngayon ni Pangulong Duterte ang quarantine classification para sa National Capital Region, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, at Rizal matapos niyang isailalim sa modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) hanggang 18 Agosto 2020.
