Media off-limits sa 5th SONA ni Duterte

IPINAGBAWAL ang presensiya ng media sa ika-limang State of the Nation Address (SONA) ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa 27 Hulyo 2020, sa gusali ng House of Representatives sa Batasan Hills, Quezon City.

“Please be advised that as per the recommendations of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID), all media are not allowed inside the premises of the House of Representatives (HRep) in Batasan Hills, Quezon City during the State of the Nation Address (SONA) on July 27, 2020,” nakasaad sa media advisory na inilabas ng Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) kahapon.

Ang papayagan lamang sa loob ng HRep ay mga tauhan ng Presidential Broadcast Staff-Radio Television Malacanang (PBS-RTVM) na mamamahala sa broadcast ng SONA.

Inabisohan ng PCOO ang media na sa RTVM humiling ng kailangang “broadcast requirements.”

“Media are advised to hook up to the live feed of PTV or the live stream of the Presidential Communications and RTVM Facebook pages and RTVM You Tube channel,” sabi sa PCOO media advisory.

Nauna rito’y kinompirma ni Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque ang pisikal na presensiya ni Pangulong Duterte sa HRep upang ihayag ang kanyang ika-limang SONA.

“I confirm for the first time that the President will be physically present in Batasan (Pambansa),” ani Roque sa virtual Palace press briefing kahapon.

Inaasahan aniyang tatalakayin ng Pangulo ang COVID-19 pandemic, ang mga hakbang ng pamahalaan upang labanan ang masamang epekto nito at ang recovery program.

Limampung mambabatas lamang aniya ang papayagan na dumalo sa SONA ng Pangulo.

Hinimok ni Roque ang mga kritiko na maglunsad ng online demonstration imbes magmartsa upang maiwasan ang pagkalat ng COVID-19. (ROSE NOVENARIO)
