“That comment is uncalled for. Let us respect the wisdom our beloved President. Due to his unique position as the highest executive officer of this nation he is privy to a lot of information many of us are never aware of. The legal basis to prevent SMARTMATIC from ever participating again in any electoral process in the Philippines can be found in the various cases that Mata sa Balota and our multi-sector partners filed in 2016 and also in 2019 against both Comelec and Smartmatic at the Ombudsman and the Supreme Court. These cases involves issues starting from repeated violations of certain sections of the Automation Election Systems (AES) law to even electoral sabotage,” pahayag ni Olarte.
“Mata sa Balota and our multi sector partners nationwide will file an impeachment case this July in the 18th Congress versus the current Comelec commissioners but as I speak we are now going around the nation to call upon the Filipino people to an immediate and urgent action to start a real Peoples Initiative (P.I.) to amend the 1987 constitution to abolish the current Comelec and replace it with a newer version that is completely answerable to our people. We are doing this action in full support to our beloved President Rodrigo Duterte especially on his recent statements on Smartmatic and related election issues, “ ani Aragon.
