‘Heavyweights’ suportado si JV (Reelection bid pinaboran)

MISTULANG “all-star cast” ng “heavyweight” showbiz celebrities, reli­gious leaders, at promi­neteng mga politiko ang sumusuporta , kasama ang maraming mama­mayan, sa reelection bid ni Senator JV Ejercito.

Sa pagpapasalamat ni Ejercito, tinaguriang “Mr. Healthcare” dahil sa pagsusulong niya ng Universal Health Care Law, sa mga nag-endoso sa kanya at mga taga­suporta kasunod ng pag-akyat niya sa winning chart base.

Sa pinakahuling survey ng Pulse Asia, umakyat si Ejercito sa 9-15 rank at sa Social Weather Station (SWS) ay nasambot niya ang pang-12 puwesto.

“Ngayon pa lang, taos-puso na po akong nagpapasalamat sa la­hat ng sumusuporta sa akin. Of course, to the Filipino people who believe in me, your trust always lifts my spirit and encourage me to go on despite my uphill battle in this election and make me believe that we will overcome,” sinabi ni Ejercito sa isang state­ment.

Kabilang sa mga nag-endoso kay Ejercito si Pa­ngu­long Rodrigo Duterte, presidential daughter at kasalu­kuyang Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, Senate President Vicente Sotto III, at Senators Manny “Pacman” Pac­quiao, Migz Zubiri, Joel Villanueva, Sherwin Gat­chalian, Loren Legar­da, Ralph Recto, at Panfilo Lacson.

“Of course, my father, Manila Mayor Joseph “Erap” and my mother, San Juan City Mayora Guia Gomez, are 100 percent behind me. I always believe that politics is addition. So, I always welcome all the support and endorsement coming from the people,” ayon kay Ejercito.

Ilan sa maraming local government official na nagpahayag ng supor­ta sa reelection bid ni Ejercito ay sina Batangas Mayor Vilma Santos-Recto, Ormoc City Mayor Richard Gomez, Leyte (4th District) Rep. Lucy Tor­res-Gomez, Pampanga Governor Lilia Pineda, Batangas Governor Her­mi­­lando Mandanas, Southern Leyte Governor Damian Mercado, Nor­thern Samar Governor Jun Ong, at Tacloban City Mayor Cristina Gonza­les-Romualdez.

Ang showbiz perso­nalities naman na sumu­suporta din kay Ejercito ay sina Gabby Concep­cion, Vina Morales at Raymart Santiago, at iba pa.

“Noong 2013, dinala ko sa Senado ang aking pangarap na ‘Ginhawa ng Bayan,’ ang Universl Health Care Law at ang batas na magtatatag ng Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development, ang dalawa sa katuparan ng pangarap na ‘yan,” sabi ni Ejercito.

“Nais kong ipagpa­tuloy ang aking nasi­mulan para makamit ang matagal na nating inaasam ng ‘Ginhawa ng Bayan’,” dagdag niya.

Nagbigay din ng “thumbs up” kay Ejercito ang mga maim­pluwensiyang religious leader tulad nina Brother Mike Velarde ng El Shddai , Pastor Apollo Quiboloy ng Kingdown of Jesus Christ, The Name Above Every Name, at Novaliches Bishop Emeritus Teo­doro Bacani.

“Marami pa akong gustong gawin para sa lahat. Sa tulong ng mga tao, maraming hindi ko kilala pero lumalapit sa akin at sinasabi nila sa akin na iboboto nila ako, at sa awa ng Diyos, I believe that I will win,” ani Ejercito.
