Tiniyak ni Arroyo: 2019 Budget ipapasa ng Kamara

NANGAKO si House Speaker Gloria Maca­pagal-Arroyo na maipa­pasa ng Kamara ang pa­nukalang pambansang budget sa lalong mada­ling panahon sa pagbu­bukas ng sesyon ngayong araw.

Ayon kay Arroyo nakikipagkonsulta ang liderato ng Kamara sa Senado at maghihintay na lamang sila sa pagpasa ng 2019 P3.757-trilyones na budget.

“We do (talk with senators), but we just let them do their own time­table. We cannot nag them. We cannot nag them on

[passing]

any of our measures,” ani Arro­yo.

Ang kontrobersiyal na budget para sa 2019 naantala matapos ma­tuk­lasan ang umano’y P75-bilyones na “inser­tions” na hinihinalang isiningit ni Budget Secre­tary Benjamin Diokno.

Ayon kay Deputy Speaker at Batangas Rep. Raneo Abu nakatuon si Mrs. Arroyo sa pagpasa ng pambansang budget.

“The house leadership is very keen on passing the 2019 annual budget when Congress resumes its session on Monday as there are lots of govern­ment programs and projects that are being tied or delayed due to the non-approval of the new budget,” ani Abu.
