GOOD looking teen singer Macoy Mendoza had his first taste of mainstream live singing when he guested in Prima Diva Billy’s Triple 7, The Concert held at Teatrino (Promenade, Greenhills) last July 7 and whew! he nailed all the three songs under the musical direction of Mr. Butch Miraflor on his baby grand piano.
Pero when I’ve started singing, parang unti-unting nawala ang kaba ko and I felt comfortable na with the rest of the songs. I felt so good when the audience started clapping. Thank god!” Macoy recalled.
Yes, I have so much regard for Macoy, iba ang timbre ng boses niya, distinctive. Iyan ang mga tipong sisikat talaga. He possesses elements of becoming a big star, very good voice quality, guwapo and napakabait.
He is determined to make it in the music industry,” says Jobert Sucaldito, producer of the said concert.
“Gustong-gusto ko ‘yung version niya ng when I was your man and all I ask. May hagod kasi siyang Bruno Mars pero may sarili siyang personality. Mapuso siyang kumanta. Kaunting panahon lang mahihinog na iyan and will carry his own torch,” says writer Bong de Leon who watched him dearly the entire show.
Swabeng-swabe,” ani Papa Ahwel Paz.
“I like his presence. He’s so cute, ‘yung halatang kinakabahan at first pero ‘di nakaiirita.
“I am working on more songs—old and new alike. Passion ko na kasi ang singing and I am praying to God na sana mabigyan ako ng chance na maging successful sa music business,” dagdag ni Macoy.
Macoy really wowed the audience during his performance. Hiyawan to the max ang audience especially the young ones. Great job, Macoy.
Anyway, Macoy is preparing for his first major concert in Teatrino on October 6, 2018. He will have a few wonderful guests in his real baptism of fire.
“I really have to sit down with Tito Butch for our line-up. Please help me God,” Macoy crosses his fingers.
Watch out for Macoy Mendoza in the next weeks. He’s surely make a difference!
