“I don’t think we can give her security. But possibly, they can give her similar detention facility as what Leila de Lima has,” ani Roque.
“I do not know if they can be roommates with Leila de Lima. I don’t know if they will like each other, but similar treatment perhaps,” dagdag niya.
“Siguro naman po ay hindi siya madedehado because she’s a member of the Cabinet. I do not know if we are in a position to give her legal assistance because the choice of counsel is hers ‘no. We cannot impose our will. We could recommend if she wants. But I don’t think the courts will violate any of her due process rights because, as you said, she’s a former lawmaker and an incumbent secretary,” sabi ni Roque.
Matatandaang naglabas ng warrant of arrest ang Nueva Ecija regional trial court sa kasong double murder laban kina Maza, dating Bayan Muna party-list representatives Satur Ocampo at Teddy Casino at dating Anakpawis party-list representative at Agrarian Reform Secretary Rafael Mariano.
