Markadong oligarch intrigador sa 3rd telco (Ipabubusisi sa BIR)

Ito ang babala ni Pngulong Rodrigo Duterte sa isang markadong oligarch .

Nagbanta ang Pangulo na ipabubusisi ang kita ng nasabing oligarka sa Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).

Sa press briefing kahapon , sinabi ni Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, galit si Pangulong Duterte sa kompanyang Connectivity Unlimited Resource Enterprise, Inc. (CURE) na nakakuha ng libreng frequency mula sa gobyerno ngunit nais pagkakitaan sa pamamagitan ng pagbebenta sa papasok na third telco player sa bansa.

“The President was particularly displeased with the fact that in order to have a third telecoms player we would need to find frequencies to be allotted to the third telecom player and he was displeased with the fact that frequency given to a shell company CURE which apparently was given for free would have to be bought back by government in order that the third player could be given this frequencies,” ani Roque.

Ibinasura aniya ng Pangulo ang panukalang ipagbili ng CURE sa pamahalaan ang frequency na nakuha namang libre sa gobyerno.

“The President rejected that proposal, that we pay for frequencies that we gave out for free and he warned everyone involved not to test the resolve of the President in allowing a third telecoms carrier to enter the country,” dagdag ni Roque.

Batay sa ulat, ang CURE ay pagmamay-ari ng negosyanteng si Roberto Ongpin na nabigyan ng 25-year franchise ng Kongreso noong 2001.

Ibinenta ito ng CURE sa Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company (PLDT) na pagmamay-ari ng negosyanteng si Manuel V. Pangilinan.

Si Pangilinan ay tina­guriang “pambansang dummy” ng ilang grupo dahil nagsisilbing prente ng pamilya Salim ng Indonesia.

Kamakailan, inianunsiyo ng Palasyo na papasok sa bansa ang Chinese telco na may kasosyong Filipino company para magsilbing third player sa telco industry na kontrolado ng Globe ng mga Ayala at Smart ni Pangilinan.
