Toni Gonzaga, nag-eenjoy bilang host ng Pilipinas Got Talent!

MASAYA si Toni Gonzaga sa pagiging bahagi ng top rating reality show na Pilipinas Got Talent. Si Toni ang latest addition sa Kapamilya reality show na kabilang sa judges sina Vice Ganda, Angel Locsin, Robin Padilla at Freddie ‘FMG’ Garcia, with Bill Crawford as host.

Ayon sa aktres/singer/TV host, maayos ang trabaho nila sa PGT dahil gamay na niya ang mga kasamahan. Wika niya, “Masaya, actually wala ngang ano e, walang ilangan dito, walang adjustment masyado. Kasi nga mga kaibigan ko rin naman sila, mga nakatrabaho ko na rin sila sa industriya.”

Nangapa ba siya sa unang sabak dito?

Saad ni Toni, “Hindi siguro nangapa, pero I allowed the show to grow on me. Parang I allowed the show to just flow on its own and then sumabay lang ako, parang alam mo ‘yon? Habang umaandar ‘yung bangka, sumakay ka lang. Iyon, na-enjoy ko naman and then eventually nagtuloy-tuloy ‘yung programa, nag-grow nang nag-grow hanggang hindi ko na nararamdaman na parang bago akong salta (sa show). Parang naramdaman ko na parang ang tagal na namin ginagawa ‘yung program, maybe because ‘yun pa rin, same people.”

Okay lang po sa kanya na parang siya ang sumalo o parang second choice, after Luis? “Kahit 5th, kahit 7th, kahit 10th, 11th choice… ako I reached a point in my life that ‘yung mga ganyang 2nd choice, 3rd choice, 4th choice… for as along as it lands on your lap, if its for you, its for you. If its not for you, you let it go.”

Ano ang first reaction niya nang sinabing siya na ang magho-host ng PGT with Billy? “I was very skeptical in the beginning, I even told direk Loren, ‘Ha, bakit ako?’ Basta, I was very skeptical because I was thinking na, of course maraming iba, maraming puwede naman.

“But you know, at the same time when I turned off the phone, noong ibinaba ko na ‘yung phone – napaisip ako and then Paul told me na, ‘Actually you should, instead of feeling na parang you don’t wanna do it, you should be grateful and thankful because out of the others na puwede naman nilang piliin, they called you, they asked you if you want to host the show.’ So, noong naramdaman ko ‘yun sabi ko, ‘Ay oo nga ano?’ Na parang I feel blessed naman na na-consider ako for this season. So I said, ‘Sige, I’ll do it.’ Kasi I think for whatever reason they may have, I will always consider it.”

Pano mo ide-desribe si Billy as co-host? “Si Billy? Madaling katrabaho si Billy, isa sa pinakamasarap katrabaho si Billy, very ano, very accommodating, very open, very generous, very generous katrabaho, sa workplace, so talagang okay si Billy.”
