Representative ng Pilipinas si Angel para sa Best Singer kalaban ang kinatawan ng Italy, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Turkey, Russia, Romania, Moldova, Malta, Spain, Indonesia, Bulgaria atbp.. First time na nakasali ang Pilipinas sa naturangDiscovery International Pop Music Festival kasama ang Indonesia. Ang mga singer and songwriter na kalahok ay galing sa 57 countries at six continents. Tatakbo ang festival mula May 16 to 22 sa Varna.
Among the artists, whose successful career began with the Discovery, are winners of the festival Miro and Galya (ex Karizma), Dessy Dobreva and Grammywinner Jia Rua.
Si Angel ay naging finalist ng X-Factor Hollywood noong 2011 at isang Jazz singer. May sitcom din siya sa Fox Channel.
Sa Cabuyao, Laguna ang province ni Angel at anak nina Adelita and Charlie Bonilla.
